Hello Butterflies,
My first journal entry for the site! This is very exciting. I wanted to create this to help connect everything that’s going in my life with you guys. Here goes nothing…
Things has been pretty busy since the site has launched, which was only a few days ago. Are you guys loving it? I hope so! LOL Social Media worked so hard in helping create such an awesome site. Huge shoutout to them– they’re amazing! THANK YOU GUYS!!
Anyhoo, like I said, these past few days have been hectic. I flew back to New York City on Saturday morning (early flights, NO BUENO…). The good news? I was greeted by snow!! It was beautiful. The sad news? I wasn’t going back to New York City to attend school again. I went so I could pack my belongings from my dorm room. Because of my possible taping schedule and my starting to record music, I decided to defer my second semester of New York University. I was so bummed to have to make this decision, but am also very eager to come back to Los Angeles for a little while for work.
My weekend was pretty much spent packing. You never realize how much stuff you have until you have to pack it all into four bags! It was also spent with my amazing roommates, Amna and Amy. We tried to fit in all of our favorite things to do in my few days in the city. We went to our favorite restaurant, Buddakan, watched Joyful Noise (Keke was AMAZING– So happy for her!), and Amna even took me shopping in Soho, since I had never been! …even though I had lived in the city for almost four months. Then came my goodbye dinner with my roommates and friends. Afterwards, we went to The Bean (the best coffee place EVER) and grabbed dirty chai’s (our favorite!). It was a very bittersweet night– I was so happy to be with my friends, but also sad that it would be the last time we hung out for a while. Saying goodbye to everyone was so hard. There were many hugs and many, many tears. Even though I know I’ll be back to NYU eventually, it was still really sad to have to say goodbye to all of my friends and the life that I had grown accustomed to in the past few months. But, like I said,
I will soon come back to NYU and we will all be together again!
In the meantime… Los Angeles, I hope you’re ready to have me back. 
So that was my weekend, in a nutshell. How was your guys’ weekend?

Aww I’m so bummed because I’m from NYC and I was hoping to run into you in the city. But I’m glad you’re doing what you love and that you plan to finish NYU eventually. The site looks great BTW

I cried when I read this. I remember how excited you were to finally go to NYU. And to see you have to give it up is very sad. But I’m happy you are getting the chance to act and play the lovely surfer chick. ;D I love you a lot Ashley. You will always be in my heart. <3
